My buddy and a few of his fellow drivers broke free from the chains of their, um, “masters” to become totally independent (instead of paying some dude upwards of $500/month to rent a cab). Its a co-op of sorts and this shop is their new home. As with any indie start-up, they need to raise (specifically for tools and such).

Shop/fundraiser venue is on Avers @ Chicago (almost to Pulaski). Just a reminder for public transit users: Chicago Ave bus runs all night (and services blue, brown & red lines).
